We are walking into our own Africa by becomming Interim Pastor for a new church start. We have been in Christian Vocational ministry before in the areas of Youth and children. Mike now works for Billy Graham. I think we all share that fear: that God will call us to some remote jungle. It reminds me of the book study I'm leading right now by John Ortberg - "If you want to walk on water, you've got to get out of the boat". Following God involves leaving our 'boat' and heading to 'Africa'.<BR/><BR/>I'm in the middle of such a journey currently. From fear to faith. My 'Africa' right now is North Carolina - not because I'm afraid of the State :o), but because I have a fear of flying. God has called me to attend a conference there next month - to step out of my comfort zone - and follow Him.
